#8 FURNITURE HIGHLIGHT : OS Table by Paul Vaugoyeau

OS Table by Paul Vaugoyeau

The OS series design draws inspiration from the simplicity and charm of stools commonly found in Onsen (Japanese hot springs). Utilizing the traditional and robust "A" structure as a foundation, the design ingeniously transforms into both a stool and a table, creating a versatile and cohesive series. The oversized and sturdy central beam of the "A" structure adds a sense of familiarity and iconic appeal to the OS series.

The OS TABLE marks the debut piece of this remarkable series. The designer's vision comes to life through the innovative use of 25mm thick laminated wood—a newly introduced material to Ishinomaki Laboratory. A cleverly integrated groove in the center serves as a passage for power cords, making the OS TABLE practical for use as a functional work table.
